Initial Response Team Leader (PUAFER010) course covers the essential skills and knowledge required to lead a facility’s response team in managing emergencies during their early stages, before emergency services or specialist teams arrive. This course prepares participants to effectively coordinate, communicate, and lead their team in handling facility emergencies.

Course Entry Requirements
To enroll, participants must:
- Wear safety boots, be clean-shaven, and dress in suitable attire
- Bring a pen or pencil for note-taking
- Provide evidence of having completed the 3-day Initial Response Teams course
Course Duration & Delivery
- Duration: 2 days (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Location: Courses are conducted frequently at our Academy and can also be delivered on request.
- Delivery: Learners will engage in both theory and practical activities.
- Amenities: Morning tea, afternoon tea, and lunch are provided when the course is delivered at Thurgoona Training Academy (TTA).
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) & Pathways
RPL is not offered for this course. Upon completion, participants may be eligible for further study, such as the PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety.
