Emergency Evacuation Warden (PUAFER005/008)

Emergency Evacuation Warden (PUAFER005/008) provides learners with the skills and knowledge to manage and respond to various incidents, including fires, disasters, bomb threats, medical emergencies, external emergencies, robberies, and evacuations. Participants will engage in practical activities, such as evacuating a smoke-filled room and using fire extinguishers. Refresher training is recommended every two years to maintain competency.

This course includes two units of competency:

  • PUAFER005 – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
  • PUAFER008 – Confine small workplace emergencies

  • Warden

Course Entry Requirements for Emergency Evacuation Warden (PUAFER005/008)

To enroll, participants must have the following:

  • Safety boots or enclosed footwear
  • Suitable work attire
  • A pen or pencil for note-taking

Course Duration and Delivery

  • Duration: 1 day (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • Location: Courses are conducted monthly at our Academy or can be delivered on-site upon request.
  • The course includes both theory and practical training.
  • Amenities: Morning tea, afternoon tea, coffee, and lunch are provided when the course is delivered at Thurgoona Training Academy (TTA).

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Pathways

RPL is not available for this course. Learners who complete this course may be eligible for further study, such as the PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety.
