Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015)

Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015) course builds upon the skills and knowledge gained in basic first aid. It focuses on the use and operation of medical oxygen and associated equipment for patients in need. This course also includes Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and refresher training is recommended every 12 months to maintain competency.

  • Prepare resuscitation equipment ready for use
  • Apply bag and mask resuscitation techniques
  • Attach and operate an AED
  • Administer Oxygen
  • Operate suction equipment
  • Restore and maintain equipment ready for future use

Course Entry Requirements

To enroll, participants must have previously completed HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid. Evidence of completion is required upon enrolment. Participants must also:

  • Wear enclosed footwear and suitable attire
  • Bring a pen for note-taking

Course Duration and Delivery

  • Duration: 1 day (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • Location: Courses are open to the public and can be delivered on-site or at our Academy.
  • Learners will engage in both theory and practical activities.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Pathways

RPL is not offered for Advanced Resuscitation (HLTAID015).

Learner Support

We offer support services for learners requiring assistance with language, literacy, or numeracy. If you have special dietary requirements or need additional support, please notify us prior to the course. Our Student Handbook, available on our website, outlines training guidelines.
