Chief Warden (PUAFER006)

The Chief Warden (PUAFER006) course is designed for individuals responsible for commanding and controlling emergency situations. This course covers key topics such as identifying and monitoring fire safety systems, controlling fire indicator panels (FIP), and managing Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS). Refresher training is recommended every two years to maintain competency.

Course Entry Requirements for Chief Warden PUAFER006

To enroll, participants must:

  • Have safety boots or enclosed footwear
  • Wear suitable work attire
  • Bring a pen or pencil for note-taking
  • Have completed the pre-requisite unit PUAFER005 and provide evidence upon enrolment

Course Duration and Delivery

  • Duration: 6 hours (8:30 AM – 2:30 PM)
  • Location: Courses are offered regularly at our Academy or can be delivered on-site upon request.
  • Learners will engage in both theory and practical activities.
  • Amenities: Morning tea, coffee, and lunch are provided for courses conducted at Thurgoona Training Academy (TTA).

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Pathways

RPL is not available for Chief Warden Puafer006. Upon completion, learners may be eligible for further study, such as Certificate II in Public Safety.
