COURSE OVERVIEW  

This skill set provides a set of skills to establish, maintain and facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in a workplace environment, including the skills to provide an emergency first aid response in the event of an emergency.

LEARNING OUTCOMES  

HLTSS00027 is a Skill Set which includes the following three Nationally Recognised units of competency from the Health Training Package.

HLTAID006 - Provide advanced first aid

HLTAID007 - Provide advanced resuscitation

HLTAID008 - Manage first aid services and resources

Successful participants will receive a "Statement of Attainment". This qualification is recognised as Workplace First Aider.

VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES  

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • First Aider
  • Occupational Nurse
  • Emergency Response Member

This unit is appropriate for those working in:

  • All Organisations
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  

Safety Boots or Enclosed footwear, suitable attire, hard hat, a pen/pencil.

DELIVERY AND DURATION  

Duration - Four (4) Days

Time - 8.30am to 4.30pm

Occupational First Aid is open to the public and can be delivered on your site or at the Academy. Learners will receive training in both theory and practical activities. Morning/afternoon tea and lunch is provided when delivered at TTA. Please advise office of any dietary requirements

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS  

RPL is not offered. This Skill set is from the HLT Health Training Package. For further information refer to www.cshisc.com.au
