COURSE OVERVIEW  

Electricity Supply Industry workers who undertake the installation and/or maintenance of network infrastructure which requires workers to Perform rescue from a live LV panel and CPR, to meet WHS, mobility and mutual aid requirements. This course meets the requirements for safety observer of energised electrical work as specified in the WHS Regulation 2011, clause 161 (4).

WHS Legislation requires revalidation of this competency at 12 monthly intervals or less.

Includes HLTAID001 Provide CPR

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES  
  • Repond to an emergency situation
  • Perform CPR procedures
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Prepare to perform rescue procedures from live LV panel
  • Carry out rescue from live LV panel
  • Complete the LV panel rescue procedure
VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES  

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • Electricians
  • Safety Observers
  • Members of an Emergency Response Team

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  

Safety Boots or Enclosed footwear, suitable attire, hard hat, a pen/pencil.

DELIVERY AND DURATION  

Duration - Six (6) Hours

Time - 8.30am to 2.30pm

Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel is open to the public and can be delivered on your site or at the Academy. Learners will receive training in both theory and practical activities. Morning tea/coffee and lunch is provided when delivered at TTA. Please advise office of any dietary requirements

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS
