Isolate and Access Plant (RIISAM202D)

COURSE OVERVIEW  

This unit covers the isolation and accessing of plant in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes: determining plant isolations, isolating plant, completing permit-to-work form, and returning plant to service.

  • Locate and apply relevant documentation
  • Work effectively with others to complete plant isolation
  • Determining plant isolations and applying plant and equipment isolations
  • Identifying and managing potential plant and site hazards
  • Concise completion of PTW system and documentation
  • Identifying isolation devices, types and purpose
VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES  

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • Supervisory positions
  • Part of a workplace safety committee
  • Writting JSEA's and SWMS
  • Isolation Officer

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS  

Safety Boots or Enclosed footwear, suitable attire, hard hat, a pen/pencil.

DELIVERY AND DURATION  

Duration - Four (4) Hours

Time - 8.30am to 12.30pm

Isolate and Access Plant is open to the public and can be delivered on your site or at the Academy. Learners will receive training in both theiry and practical activities. Morning tea/coffee is provided when delivered at TTA. Please advise office of any dietary requirements

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS
